Made by up and coming young Australian winemaker - Charlie O'Brien, this is a quirky blend of shiraz, grenache and zinfandel, yet the wine offers terrific drinking, showing sweet plum, blackcurrent, violet, thyme and cedar characters on the nose with a light dusting of dark cocoa. The palate delivers excellent fruit intensity and fleshy mouthfeel, wonderfully supported by silky tannins, leading to a persistent satisfying finish. At its best: now to 2028.
